Scene and Unseen: The 2019 BYV Fundraiser

Scene and Unseen: The 2019 BYV Fundraiser

Bechtler Museum of Modern Art
Thursday, March 7 at 7:00 PM

Join Charlotte’s next generation of arts leaders for an elegant night of modern art, drinks, hors d'oeuves, music, & more, in honor of the Bechtler’s newest exhibition, Bechtler Unseen: Works from the 50s and 60s. Featuring the jazz & funk stylings of Charlotte’s own Menastree, live performance art from Hardin Minor and Baran Dance Company, a ‘known and unknown’ wine pull, and over 12o previously unknown works from the Bechtler Collection by Joan Miró, Georges Braque, Jean (Hans) Arp, Pablo Picasso, and more.

Presented by the Bechtler Young Visionaries 2019 Steering Committee, all proceeds of Scene and Unseen will support innovative community outreach programs with quality of life benefits for citizens of Charlotte typically underserved by the visual arts sector: children in Title I schools, recently incarcerated youth, the low- to no-vision community, individuals with early-onset dementia and their caregivers, local veterans, and others.

Tickets are no longer available.

Every Scene and Unseen attendee can vote to choose whom the proceeds of their tickets benefit at checkout.

Who should the 2019 BYV Fundraiser benefit? Cast your votes here. The winner will be announced the night of the event.

Come as you are.
